Mike Melton,Co-Founder & President of ClearCall Solutions, Security Systems & Monitoring LLC & Dish Direct LLC
Mike is the Co-founder and President of ClearCall Solutions since its inception in 2001 at the age of 19. Prior to establishing the company, his background was in call center management, sales and marketing. He has established two strong positive cash flow companies as the Co-Founder and President in both Security Systems & Monitoring LLC and Dish Direct LLC. Mike has successfully developed and grown the Dish Network dealership since 2002 and ADT Security dealership since 2007. He is actively ranked a Top 20 Dish Network retailer in the country out of 3000 retailers nationwide and is a Top 10 ranked ADT dealership out of over 650 dealerships nationwide. Mike was named to the Security Systems News Top 20 Under 40 in 2011 as a direct result of his accomplishments and contributions in the security industry. Mike’s organizations currently employ 100 people in the Gilbert Arizona call center location and over 60 technicians that perform installations throughout the country. Mike’s expertise is in company vision, leadership, direct response marketing, sales, company methodology, analytics, operations, financial forecasting and company development. His goals are to make Security Systems & Monitoring LLC and Dish Direct LLC #1 dealerships in the ADT and Dish Network programs. His strategic vision includes launching other businesses underneath the ClearCall Solutions umbrella within the next 24 months.
What made you want to create ClearCall Solutions? I have always had a passion in building and creating. I noticed at an early age I had a knack for business. I felt compelled to go create something of my own with the thought of combining the best of what I saw with other companies with my own vision of what I’d like to see. I wanted to create a work environment and culture that I would love to be part of as an employee.
What is the best part of working at ClearCall Solutions? The people and environment. Everyone tells me there is something different about this place that they like, which is always good to hear. There is a special energy at this company that is hard to explain. We are very selective in who we add to the team because when we bring them in they are a part of the family. That dynamic is important and I think everyone here appreciates that we care about that.
What one of the ClearCall Solutions core values do you feel most represents you personally and why? It’s between integrity and transparency though all of them are very important to me. I believe in telling people the truth and being straight forward with what you are really thinking. I think that people know what I really think when they ask me and this helps trust.
Curtis Moore,Vice President of Operations
Curtis Moore brings over 12-years executive leadership experience in the low-voltage and security alarm industry. Previous co-owner and the Vice President of Operations for a custom home automation company, built from startup, to a proficient operation with revenues exceeding 10-million per year, when the business was acquired in 2007. Curtis has a successful and proven track record in identifying deficiencies, instituting proper processes and systems, with an emphasis on technology developments that provide sustainable cost driven results. Curtis has implemented operational reports to prepare the scalability for the ClearCall Solutions companies. He has overseen a new phone system and reporting system that is preparing the company for growth. Curtis implemented scheduling processes and functions which were a key contributor in doubling gross revenues annually. He has reduced COGS by 1-million per year through vendor negotiations and by inventory processes and controls. Curtis has been instrumental in managing processes in expanding our technician work force from 12 to 60 technicians in a 2-year period. He has been responsible for building technician sales systems that have doubled the average revenue ticket per sale on equipment additions at the time of installation.
What attracted you to ClearCall Solutions? ClearCall’s business model is a perfect fit from my previous job experience. ClearCall portrays a strong alignment to a great company culture that promotes individual growth and organizational values. These items are the cornerstone of my beliefs.
What is the best part of working at ClearCall Solutions? The ability to watch the organization grow and contribute to its overall accomplishments. The company has a strong team environment, which is a key in any company’s success.
What one of the ClearCall Solutions core values do you feel most represents you personally and why? ‘Integrity’ – Honesty is key. I always strive to do what is right, and do not compromise. Everything comes out the wash eventually, and it is essential to make honest decisions in everything that I do.
Bryan Baker,Director of Finance
Bryan joined the ClearCall Solutions team in August 2010 as the Financial Controller. Bryan graduated summa cum laude for all three of his degrees in accounting – Associates from Dixie State College, Bachelor’s from University of Phoenix, and Masters (MBA/MAFM) from Keller Graduate School of Management. He received student of the year honors at both Dixie State College and Keller Graduate School of Management. Bryan currently teaches Accounting Ethics at the University of Phoenix and is currently pursuing his CPA designation. Prior to joining ClearCall Solutions, Bryan has had over twenty years of accounting experience in such diverse industries as retail, oil and gas, mortgage, property management, and construction (home building). The last five years have been dedicated in the home automation/home security field.
What attracted you to ClearCall Solutions? I was attracted to ClearCall for the opportunity to work for an up and coming business that prides itself on the core values. During my interviews, and in meeting the small staff that existed when I first started, you could see their passion and the desire to grow the business. Who wouldn’t want to be a part of that!
What is the best part of working at ClearCall Solutions? The best part of working for ClearCall is the people that make up this company. Each of us feels an ownership for our particular area and the desire to want to improve each day. I can honestly say that this is the first job that I have had that I love coming to work each day and in being part of such a great team.
What one of the ClearCall Solutions core values do you feel most represents you personally and why? It is very hard to single out one of the core values as each of them represent a portion of my work ethic here at ClearCall. I would say that if I had to choose one, that it would be INNOVATION. I love that creativity is fostered within this company and we look for ways to work smart before we work hard. I always look for ways to improve the processes of not only the accounting/finance department, but throughout the company by finding ways to take the regular processes we do and improve them to be faster and more innovative.
Tom Carr,Director of Human Resources
Joining the company in 2008, Tom brought over 20 years of business and personnel management experience in both small business and Fortune 500 operations to the team. With his passion for building teams and helping organizations reach their potential, Tom started the Sales team on the Security Alarm Now project. He obtained licensing for Security Alarm Now in eight additional states, increasing active marketing areas by 160%. Tom has been a key contributor to personnel growth from 5 to 100 employees and field personnel from 11 to 60+ technicians and is an integral part of the development and implementation of ClearCall University, the company’s in-house training and personnel development program. Through the implementation and enhancement of company policies and standards, Tom continues to ensure internal and legal compliance in all aspects of operations. He has also effectively implemented a full-scale payroll and HRIS system that streamlined internal processes, enhanced Employee Self-Serve access and reduced administrative costs by over 20%.
Tom currently serves the Technical Advisor for the Mesa Police Department’s False Alarm Enforcement Unit and is an active member of the Electronic Security Association and the Society for Human Resource Management.

We all have the opportunity to do the right thing every time; it’s how we choose to act that sets us apart. To paraphrase a wise old adage; “it’s what you do when no one is looking…”
Steve Rausch,Director of Sales - Dish Direct
As a recent addition to the ClearCall Solutions team, Steve Rausch brings a high-level of executive leadership and business development experience. After earning a Bachelor’s degree in 1993 from Arizona State University he immediately began his rapid rate of advancement in the health club industry in an unprecedented amount of time. As Regional Vice President of sales and marketing, he was an integral part of helping direct LA Fitness Int’l to become the largest health club chain in the United States. Furthermore, as Vice President of production for Pure Fitness, he became a key component in what’s considered to be one of the largest per location health club sale in the past decade recognizing him as one of the top executives in the industry. All of his achievements in business are driven by a passion for developing others through an unwavering commitment of support and strategic vision of excellence.
What attracted you to ClearCall Solutions? What attracted me to ClearCall Solutions was the opportunity to grow with a national sales and marketing organization that represents and generates customers for top 500 Fortune companies. Combined with the strong reputation of commitment that has been created in the community to the growth of their employees while offering outstanding service to their customers.
What is the best part of working at ClearCall Solutions? The best part of working at ClearCall Solutions is the high energy in the building in all departments and the challenges from one another in leadership to create the most dynamic sales and marketing organization in business. Determination – I have been taught from an early age to set goals and always be willing to outwork and outthink your opponent. What is the best part of working at ClearCall Solutions? There is a great sense of care for each individual and their growth within the company as well as a personal level.
What are some of your passions outside of the office? My passion lies solely in Jesus Christ. This causes me to be the best husband and father I can be which are top priorities in my life. Recently this passion has lead my family to foreign Missions in Honduras which now has a big place in our hearts.
How would you describe the culture of ClearCall Solutions? Focused on success without forgetting the important things in life.
What is your favorite movie and why? ‘Napoleon Dynamite’ – for a good laugh – ‘Elf’ during the Christmas Season – ‘Rad’ for a throwback to childhood.

What are some of your passions outside of the office? My family is my biggest passion outside of the office. I’m also very involved in our church.
How would you describe the culture of ClearCall Solutions? If you read the core values – integrity, passion, determination, humility, positive outlook, innovation and simplicity – those really do sum up the culture.
What is your favorite movie and why? Sound of Music. My mom and I used to watch it several times a year…and sing along to all the cheesy songs. I’ve now begun that wonderful tradition with my daughters
What is your favorite movie character and why? Frodo from Lord of The Rings. He was given an impossible task, had true friends that would die for him and his cause if necessary and despite huge odds against him was successful at his “task.”

Describe your perfect day off. NO housework, no laundry….just lots of time with the family. We love being outside, so anything at the pool or the park or the zoo!

What attracted you to ClearCall Solutions?When I first heard about ClearCall Solutions I thought the company was too good to be true; it seemed like a great company to work for, with a friendly, hardworking team and great business outlook. Since then, I’ve found all to be true.
What is the best part of working at ClearCall Solutions?The best part about working at ClearCall Solutions is the fact that I wake up every morning excited for work, rather than dreading it. One of the reasons it’s so easy to come to work definitely has to do with our outstanding team. During my time here at ClearCall Solutions, I’ve worked beside countless wonderful individuals with the same drive and eagerness to succeed; they’re always willing and able to help out, make me laugh and pick me up on my worst days. ClearCall’s unique business atmosphere is a pleasure to work in and makes it easy for me to stay passionate about sales and the growth of the company.
What are some of your passions outside of the office?When I’m outside of the office, I’m most likely on the ASU campus, doing homework or hanging out with my friends. I’m a Business Communications Major, with a Minor in Philosophy and am extremely passionate about my educational success. I also enjoy traveling (when I get the chance) and music.

They’re music is phenomenal and no matter what mood I’m in, they always make me feel better. It’s feel good, quality music and my two favorite songs are “Ten Years Gone” and “Ramble On.”

I have a passion for my job and the determination to make today at least a little bit better than the last; I’m determined to surpass individual and team goals and achieve excellence.

What attracted you to ClearCall Solutions?I was attracted most by the idea that I would have a role in helping a small company (of approximately 20 people at the time) to develop into what it is today and beyond. I was also enticed by the passion and pride that the staff embodied.
What is the best part of working at ClearCall Solutions?The best part of working at CCS is that we work hard for the common goal of making our company successful, but we also have a good time doing it.
What are some of your passions outside of the office?Outside of the office, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends and playing softball. I have two sons and they are very interested in baseball, which is only natural since they have frequented softball fields with my husband and I since they were babies.
How would you describe the culture of ClearCall Solutions?The culture of CCS is one of passion and determination to build our company as one of the best sales & marketing companies around. It’s a very upbeat atmosphere where we all play key roles in the success of our company.
What is your favorite movie and why?Is it pathetic that I don’t have a favorite or a favorite character? I think some of the ones that I would choose would probably be inappropriate to put on our website (The Hangover, Transformers 1 & 2, The longest yard, The Notebook, Dear John, The Ugly Truth.
What is your favorite song and/or band and why?I don’t think there is one song that I would call my favorite. I like many music genres, including R & B, Hip Hop, Rap, Pop, Metal, and (some) Country. With listening to all of that, it’s hard to pick one song and one artist☺ The one artist I would choose would definitely be inappropriate to put on the website☺
What do you find at ClearCall Solutions that you like that might not be something you typically see in organizations?In the marketing department, we are able to test different types of marketing that we think may help increase calls to our call center…if it works, we find a way to develop it and make it more profitable. If it doesn’t work, we chalk it up as a learning experience and we move on to the next “test”. Our ideas and opinions also matter to this company.
What one of the ClearCall Solutions core values do you feel most represents you personally and why?It’s hard to choose only one of our core values that I think I represent. I believe that I represent the value of integrity most (positive outlook second). I take pride in my position and the work that I do as well as speak openly and honestly about what I believe is best in situations. The second value that represents me is positive outlook. I strongly believe that one is able to make the decision of how their day is going to go. There is no need to dwell on negative thoughts/ideas as that does not make you, or anyone around you, happy.
Describe your perfect day off.My perfect day off would consist of spending time snuggling and watching movies with my boys (they won’t allow me to do that with them much longer), playing a couple game of ball and then grilling out relaxing at home with my family and friends.

What attracted you to ClearCall Solutions? What attracted me to ClearCall Solutions was the feedback I had gotten back from employees who were already with the company and their dedication to the progress of the company.
What is the best part of working at ClearCall Solutions?The best part of working for ClearCall is the atmosphere we get to work in everyday. You spend the most of your waking hours at work than anywhere else in your life and the fact that here we have a perfect balance of productivity and fun. It is truly rare to have a job that you are happy to come to everyday.
What are some of your passions outside of the office?One of my largest passions outside of work that I have been getting into is indoor rock climbing, other than that I spend most of my time with my family and friends.
How would you describe the culture of ClearCall Solutions?Clearcall’s culture is humorous, productive, and very charismatic. There is not a day that goes by, busy or slow, that we don’t laugh until our stomach hurts.
What is your favorite movie and why?My favorite movie would most likely be Monty Python and the Holy Grail, I am a sucker for nonsense comedies.
What is your favorite movie character and why?My all time favorite movie character is any character played by Will Ferrell or Morgan Freeman. A little random but I love them.
What is your favorite song and/or band and why?The one song that I could listen to over and over again and still love is Up Around the Bend by Creedence Clearwater Revival.
What do you find at ClearCall Solutions that you like that might not be something you typically see in organizations?The most unique thing I see at ClearCall Solutions is the little spiffs the managers have for us. Everyday it’s a little different but my favorite would have to be “dances for deals.” It’s where one of the supervisors actually shows his worst dance moves every time an employee makes a sale. Very motivational and pretty much just hilarious.
What one of the ClearCall Solutions core values do you feel most represents you personally and why?I think a huge core value for me is integrity. I try my hardest to be an honest, genuine person and everyone at ClearCall really respects me for it. And the sense of humor of course....
Describe your perfect day off.A perfect day off is one where you really don’t have any errands and can lock yourself in your room with a book all day.
What is the nickname given to you by your team?My newest nickname is “Optimus Prine” and I love it because that is my favorite transformer!

What attracted me to ClearCall Solutions was the passion I felt and heard from a current coworker who referred me to ClearCall Solutions. Both of us worked in Sales together in the past and I told her to sign me up because that was exactly what I was looking for.

My perfect days at work will be taking as many calls as possible and close at a 100%.
What is the nickname given to you by your team?My nickname is (The Silent Assassin), this name was given to me by ‘Nick Jensen’ because I will be quiet working and no one knows what am up to, then all of a sudden I place all these great numbers on the board by taking everyone by surprise.

What attracted you to ClearCall Solutions? First and foremost Clearcall presented itself as a growing company and I wanted to be a part of it. Secondly their core values were something I was truly hoping to find in a company I can contribute to.

After applying I went to the website and was intrigued about where the company was going, the core values(which I personally hold near and dear), and ultimately the great staff I encountered during the interview process.
What is the best part of working at ClearCall Solutions?
Everyone at ClearCall has a voice. It’s not only accepted, but encouraged to come forward with any ideas that you may have which is a rare in a business.
What are some of your passions outside of the office?
I have two beautiful little girls Chloe(8), and Hannah(7)with my wonderful wife Lauren, all of whom I enjoy spending most of my free time with. I also enjoy getting in a round of Golf whenever the opportunity presents itself.

We have a upbeat, friendly, and highly professional group here at ClearCall, who all seem to have an amazing passion for this company.

Al Pacino. Very emotional actor that pulls off amazing performances in every one of his films.

What do you find at ClearCall Solutions that you like that might not be something you typically see in organizations?
Camaraderie. It’s hard to find the high level of cohesiveness that we all share anywhere else.
What one of the ClearCall Solutions core values do you feel most represents you personally and why?
I’d like to think it’s a combination of all the core values but if I had to pick, it would have to be humility. I feel it’s important be confident in one’s self without coming off as presumptuous. Know yourself and always seek self-improvement.
Describe your perfect day off.
I’d wake up early and make breakfast for the girls then off to the driving range to teach them the wonderful game that is Golf (Can you say “Scholarship”). What attracted you to ClearCall Solutions? ClearCall was a relatively small company when I became a member of the team, two years ago. That is no longer the case and there is one thing that has remained consistent; our culture. The determination and passion of the employees here at Clearcall is something special and seldomly found in corporate America.
What is the best part of working at ClearCall Solutions? The atmosphere where a dull moment is rare. As a team we are always trying to be better than we were the day, week, month, and year before. By having focus on being better and sharper we set ourselves up for success.
What are some of your passions outside of the office? When I’m not at work or traveling with my wife, I can be found at one of the 400 golf courses located in the Valley of the Sun.

What is your favorite movie character and why? Tough question. Currently, I’d have to say my favorite movie character is Alan (played by Zach Galifianakis) in the Hangover movie series. Alan is fantastic at taking any normal situation and making it extremely awkward.

Our successes are shared and communicated across all levels and departments within the company. On any given day I’d bet that most employees at ClearCall could tell you where we stand for the day, week, and month with regards to our success and shortcomings. If adjustments need to be made the team collaborates and the best idea always wins, regardless of where the idea originated.

There will be Ups, Downs, and everything in between. The man idea is keeping our eye on the prize from the most granular to the grandest of levels. Success is not promised, it’s earned.

What are some of your passions outside of the office? Music, books, and writing. I play a few instruments and every once in a while I write short fiction.
How would you describe the culture of ClearCall Solutions? The culture is accurately represented by the core values of determination and passion. ClearCall is defined by a group of people that are dedicated to seeing our company succeed.
What is your favorite movie and why? I like an old movie called “Keys of the Kingdom”. It’s about a priest that is sent to China as a missionary at the turn of the century. I like it because it focuses on the relationships he establishes. It gives a unique perspective on how to measure success. Measured by the numbers, he seems to fail. However, as he reflects on his life as an old man, you can see how many people he affected throughout his life by living well.
What is your favorite movie character and why? Atticus Finch because of his unflinching integrity and wisdom. “You never really understand a person until you consider things from his point of view - until you climb into his skin and walk around in it.”

What one of the ClearCall Solutions core values do you feel most represents you personally and why? Self-Improvement is important to me. Personally, this is meaningful to every aspect of my life. It’s difficult to keep ego out of the mix, but I’ve found that understanding my limitations helps me grow. Finding ways to improve every area of my life leads me live a healthy life.
